"There wasn't a whole lot that was easy," said Terry Francona (The Red Sox manager). "We went through so much and it was sometimes so hard to be good. As important as the game is today, when word filters down and you see the scoreboard changing, it is hard not to feel emotional."For a Boston Red Sox fan, the games between Red Sox and Yankees are make me feel nerves all the time. I still remembered the League Championship Series of American League last year, the rivalry of Red Sox and Yankees continued to the last play, “it is hard not to feel emotional.” But this year, the most important series in the regular season to decide which one can take the ticket to postseason, we still had to face the threat from Yankees. What can I said.
By the pass two games, Manny Ramirez (See the photo at left, Manny Ramirez admires his three-run homer in the fourth inning. The image in its original context on the page: Red Sox: The Official Site.) and David Ortiz [See the photo above, Jonathan Papelbon (left) douses David Ortiz with champagne. When I saw that Gary Sheffield pummeled a Tim Wakefield fastball over the Green Monster for a two-run homer that gave the Yankees a 3-0 lead, my heart was broke at the same time. I cannot believe how he could put up so perfect. But Manny inspired every fans by a titanic homer in the bottom of the first, the first of two he would hit on the day, a two-run, two-out blast that sailed way over the Green Monster and toward the Mass. In my opinion, Manny was perfect one to be the AL MVP by the expressiveness of this day. Although he hit the other homer in 8th inning off Tom Gordon, in the end, Red Sox still lost the game of matching Randy. “Sox lose, but still lead Wild Card.”Yesterday, Manny still was the hero again. In the fourth inning, he leaded a three-run homer to start the engine of Red Sox. When the fans were worried about the scoreboard of Indians and White Sox, he tried everyone's lungs by the great homer. When he swings the bat to hit the ball, I imaged the ball would be a rocket having eyes to shot Jaret Wright down.
Another star of the game is Curt Schilling. (See the photo at right, Curt Schilling struggled this season and finished the year with an 8-8 record. The image in its original context on the page: Red Sox: The Official Site.) Sometimes we feel unconfident about his performance after he rebooted. In a season in which he had struggled tremendously in his battle back from ankle woes, but tonight, he erased the sour taste he had from an individual standpoint, and giving his Red Sox a big victory on a day they needed one. I have the confidence to him again. Than, we take the ticket to the Division Series of AL yet again. I think and believe that Red Sox will win the World Championship once more. Johnny Damon, who on the eve of the 2004 Division Series came up with that idiots tag, had the 2005 slogan all ready. "Eleven more wins," he said. "That's what we're shooting for. That's the bottom line."
BoSox's Eleven, opening Tuesday afternoon in Chicago.
The game will be started. It's Show time...
